System Size Metrics (Pay per Data model)

The system size depends on the data flow through the system. The metrics are measured and reported three (3) months ahead of the subscription renewal date and provide the basis for the subscription package size for the forthcoming year.

  • Each package contains a limit on the maximum amount of the system events. These limits are published on this page.

  • A commit is a commit made by a user to the system. This metric intends to reflect the authoring activity in the system.

  • A topic is a Topic in DITA based applications and a Section or other equivalent when using other XML schemas.

  • The Enterprise User model is based on the number of users rather than these metrics.

  • If the system is used outside of what can be considered a typical usage, we will quote and agree with the customer on a special price that reflects the specific scenario.

Note

The Pay per Data model was introduced in 2021 and the metrics/limits have been stable since the introduction. However, as functionality evolves within Simonsoft CMS actual usage of these metrics may change over time. Simonsoft reserves the right to adjust rate limits with 3 months’ notice.
